    OINP Redesign Phase 1. Ontario Regulation 422/17 was amended in force June 25, 2026: all 8 former streams are closed and no further invitations will be issued under them.

  2. British ColumbiaBC PNP

    Skills Immigration invitations are issued by category - Care (childcare, health, veterinary), Build (construction trades) and Innovate (high economic impact) - plus a temporary rural/remote health initiative.

  3. AlbertaAAIP

    Alberta is the most transparent program in the country: it publishes a dated draw table plus live nomination counts.

  4. SaskatchewanSINP

    Saskatchewan does not run EOI draws in 2026. Capped sectors open in timed intake windows that fill within minutes: January 13, March 2, May 4 and July 6-7 have all reached their position limits.

    Manitoba runs EOI draws roughly every two weeks and publishes each one as a numbered notice. Business Investor Stream EOI draws are not being held at present.

  6. New BrunswickNBPNP

    New Brunswick publishes every NBPNP invitation round by stream and separately selects Atlantic Immigration Program applications for processing in rounds of their own, which sit outside the PNP figures.

    Nova Scotia does not publish individual draws. Selections focus on healthcare, skilled trades and other priority occupations.

    Yukon does run a ranked selection, but only twice a year and only through employers.

    IRCC allocated the Northwest Territories 197 nominations for 2026, raised to 300 in August, and the territory rebuilt its selection process around them.

    Nunavut has no nominee program. Federal routes such as Express Entry apply.

A nomination is given on the understanding that you intend to live in that province. We look at where your work, family and plans make sense, not only where a cut-off is lowest.

How a PNP works.

Four moves from choosing a stream to permanent residence. The province nominates; IRCC decides.

    Match a stream

    Pick the province and stream that fit your occupation, experience, language and ties. Some need a job offer.

  2. STEP 02

    Get selected

    Register an expression of interest or secure an employer offer. The province invites you and issues a nomination.

  3. STEP 03

    +600 or base

    An enhanced nomination adds 600 CRS points in Express Entry. A base nomination uses the direct application to IRCC.

  4. STEP 04

Can a cook or server in New Brunswick be endorsed under the Atlantic Immigration Program?
Yes, since 14 September 2026. New Brunswick lifted its AIP restriction on the accommodation and food services sector, so cooks, chefs, servers, bartenders and hotel front desk clerks in that sector can be considered for endorsement again. Eight occupations stay restricted, including restaurant managers (60030) and food service supervisors (62020), and new employer designation is paused for the rest of 2026. How does the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program work?
Ontario closed eight OINP streams on 25 June 2026, announced the following day — the three Employer Job Offer streams, both graduate streams and the three Express Entry streams. No further invitations will be issued under any of them. They are replaced by a single Ontario Workforce Priority stream, whose expression of interest portal opened on 4 August 2026. It is employer-driven and covers TEER 0 through 5, plus a pathway for self-employed physicians. Your employer submits the job offer through the Employer Portal first, and you then have 30 calendar days to register your own expression of interest.
Why is a provincial nomination so valuable?
An Express Entry-aligned nomination adds 600 CRS points, which in practice guarantees an invitation in a following round. It is the single largest score change available to any candidate.
Which province should I target?
The one where your occupation is in demand and where you have a genuine connection — work history, a job offer, study, or family. Chasing the province with the most nominations rarely works if your profile does not fit its streams.
Do I have to live in the province that nominates me?
Yes. A nomination carries an intention to settle in that province, and streams look for evidence that the intention is genuine. This is assessed, not assumed.
